Cooking time: 10 minutes
MARINADE INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 4 TBSP soy sauce
- 1 TBSP Dijon mustard
- 3 TBSP minced garlic
- 1 TBSP brown sugar
- 2 TSP dried parsley
- Black pepper to taste
KEBABS INGREDIENTS:
- 1lbs rump / sirloin steak chopped into 1 inch cubes
- 200g button mushrooms halved
- 2 red onion cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 green bell pepper cut into 1 inch pieces
- Fresh parsley, minced for garnish
- Half lemon
INSTRUCTIONS
- Whisk together all of the marinade ingredients.
- In a large resealable food bag, place steak cubes, and in another place the mushrooms.
- Pour 2/3 of the marinade into the steak bag, and the remaining 1/3 into the mushroom bag.
- Place both bags into the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes, ideally overnight.
- Preheat the grill. Skewer the beef, mushrooms, red onion and green bell pepper as in the picture above.
- Grill for 8-10 minutes, turning often, until charred, regularly basting with olive oil
- Garnish with minced parsley and drizzle with the juice from the lemon
These were served with our own Authentic Italian Garlic Sauce.
